Montgomery Dr – Santa Rosa

Project Type: Residential

Project Location: Santa Rosa, CA

Client: Homeowner

Scope of Work: The work completed on the home on Montgomery Drive in Santa Rosa involved the installation of a transfer panel and repairs, as well as the fixing and installation of outside plugs. The transfer circuit panel was securely mounted to the wall and leveled. Exposed wires were removed from the main panel and re-installed using 1” liquidtite and proper connectors. The transfer circuits were re-wired. The customer, who was using UPS batteries with an inverter instead of a generator, was informed that the inverter was only outputting 120v, causing the emergency panel to have only one phase. It was recommended that the customer purchase a second inverter to provide the necessary 240v for the transfer panel. The customer bought twin 15/15a breakers for the 120v phase, leaving the other phase unpowered, and existing breakers were left in place to fill the spaces. The circuits requested by the customer were energized. Additionally, the outside GFI outlet box was secured to the wall, and the existing GFI and in-use cover were reinstalled.
